Brief.....

For this section of the site project we want you to complete a project that has a specific location, function and audience. You can choose from one of the following clients, or you may add your own and then produce either a hoarding, advertisement, booklet or TV trailer.

clients

ROSPA, FRIENDS OF THE EARTH, ARTS IN THE COMMUNITY, BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL, CUSTARD FACTORY, IKON, UCE/BIAD, THE CARLING ACADEMY, DAZED AND CONFUSED, DAVID FrITH, ORANGE, MAILBOX, OXFAM

personally I think we should choose a client for which we can somehow use work that we have already produced. This way all the work will link together.

Ok, heres a thought: Lets say for example that we were approached by a client on the strength of images posted to the blog. That would give us the chance to reuse/recycle material that already exists and tie things together visually.

Idea: Client - Oxfam. An obvious choice I think as we could include the "x" in a design. I'm gonna have a play around in PS.

Oscar has mentioned to me the idea of creating a CD cover/booklet. Perhaps this would work if Oxfam wanted to jump on the CD compilation bandwagon. Choose some relevant artists (I have a Fairtrade comp CD which would make good reference)

yea fantastic idea. oxfam is ace! my only slight reservation is that although the x design is relevant the visual style of it, as well as the wireframe suff is not what you would normally associate with oxfam. or maybe its time that changed??

though ive just thought that maybe printing on hand made paper (fair trade ofcourse) might tie in nicely...

i'd like to see the what the this fairtrade comp cd looks like, cause normally compilations have shi*t designs lol... normally...

I agree, most compilations are knocked out on the cheap.

Everybody who has photoshop thinks they're a bloody graphic designer these days.

They're doing me out of a friggin job.

I'm gonna copy obeasts images off and see what I can come up with.

Bearing in mind Oxfams colour palette, public image perception, budget, pos choice of music etc
